The driver is good but I had a hard time installing this old printer of mine to my vista since this software was made for win9x win2000 and winXP but not winVista. I think the problem is with my OS since it should have recognized my old printer. The promise Bill Gates is giving that winVista should do doesn't reach our demands and expectation

Why don't Compaq aupport any of their older monitors I couldn't find a V700 driver anywhere on their site

Forget all of the other drivers listed for the Epson 440. They don't workSc4445ce.exe printer driver and Sm4420be.exe status monitor are the correct driver installation programs. My thanks go out to The Weirs for ending my search.
