im looking for a driver for my compaq monitor its a 461 monitor...i pray this will fix it

I wish people who change the inf etc.to get it working etc. would be a bit more explicit 1 The people who report that it will not work in win98 are correct IFF you follow the instructions 2 It took a few attempts to get the file to work but if you ignore all instructions that are in the readme's and fight win98's AI artificialfor certain you can get the OPTI 930A to work. 3 I did it by A copying the unzipped files to a floppyB going into SYSTEM in 98 and removing the SOUND card mess.C ADD NEW HARDWAE and NOT choosing SOUND etc. which will NOT work in 98 but choosing the device OTHERand then doing this twice with both the .INF files on the floppy.D At this point Win98 has no idea that there is a sound card at all soreboot and the installed .INFs evoke the floppy DOS setup program which starts up at this point choose YES to continue and go thru the entire DOS setup to include the Autoexec.batcommand lines to turn on the card with the correct drivers for the default SOUND BLASTER PRO setup. E then the setup program REBOOTS the computer at which point you againADD NEW HARDWARE and Win98 now finds a SoundBlaster the game port and othercomponents. I had to do this process a few times conflict with resources on the video but eventually even the Windows sound emulation was set up and now all aspects of the card are installed...Not much was obvious or easy but repeated attempts eventually succeeded... persist.robin
