Installed the driver and everything seems to work. I haven't tried to connect with it yet.I used the Add Hardware tool in the Control Panel and pointed it to the directory where I unzipped the files.Secondhand computer.Motherboard PC Chips M726MRT v1.2aBIOS String 61081600143700101111071595ALi1621M726MRTV1.20Not sure if the modem came with this motherboard as the AMRCNR driver from the PC Chips website didn't work.

It didn't work In fact it even disabled my C Drive and now I can't enable it again. it also disabled my sound card as well in which I clicked enable to get it back up again but my C drive shows disabled in the device manager but C still works. It said it was for Windows 98SE and I'm on Windows 98 I don't know if that is the problem I wouldn't think there would be that great of an incompatibility difference. As far as it goes this driver did not work at all for me and I'm still sitting here silently.

Thanks seems like such an understatement I can't tell you how much time I've spent already on this issue... The driver has screwd my windows with the message that the driver made a divide overflow en the system was halted. It is possibel that it's a problem of the pc because it is a compaq deskpro.
