Thank you very much. I kept getting the message that I needed a driver for PCI Multimedia Audio Device. I thought that was the type of sound card I had. Instead one needs to look at the main chip on the sound board and find the maker and model. For example mine was ESS Solo1 Model ES1938S. Others might be different. In any event it worked. Thank you.
