Driver is a Firmware flash BIOS type driver for the device itself. WinXP is still having trouble installing it Pro SP2. Only LG site that acknowledges this drive exists is in Japanese. This could get interesting lol. Everyone I've talked to strongly recommends that XP users who have this particular model drive download the firmware update and follow the directions in the readme file EXACTLY Happy hunting

u de bestthis file did installbutmy computer only recognizers the cdrecorder as a cdrom and i cannot do anything with it please could someone tell me how to fix this problem.I have the mitsumi as ide1 sec master and my creative cdrom as ide1 sec slave is this ok.I tried the other way around but with no luckI also tried it mitsumi ide0 pri slave and cdrom sec master but still no luck.My computer only recognizers my mitsumi as a cdromany advice would be nice....Thanks....JFTW
