I used this for a Compaq Deskpro EN 1 ghz which has a 240762001 motherboard with onboard sound chip 82801AA. The install did some stuff and then said I needed updates for Win98se. After rebooting I selected the card in Device Manager told it to update driver selected quothave diskquot drilled down to where the install put the smwdm.inf file in the ..SE folder and then it worked. I was using the quotGood Timesquot MPEG from the Win95 CD for testing and Edie finally sounded like she should.

have looked everywhere for a driver for my scanner. i have a disk that came with scanner but it has scratch on it and will no longer work. thanks alot.
