No it did not work for Win XP Pro but I do have another solution that does work with Windows XP Pro. All Acer scanners are now supported by BenQ. The web address is www.Hewlett Packard Hpcmeu.comServiceAndSupportDriversindex.cfmproductline9 From there select 620ST and download the XP drivers for the SCSI card and MiraScan scanner. Extract these into directories.Steps to install 1. Plug in scanner card only and turn on. Install the Acard driver for the SCSI card. Using manual installation. This driver must be forced on.2. Reboot PC when it asks plugging the scanner in and making sure it is turned on this should automatically detect the scanner.3. Cancel the hardware wizard at this point in time if it appears. Check in device manager to make sure that it has picked up the scanner under imaging devices.4. Install the Mirascan software. If during the Mirascan install it gives a message about a file being read only write this file name down then open windows explorer find the file right click and remove the read only tick. Once that is done continue installation. PC will reboot. This will then ask you to load the drivers again. This time do an automatic search for the card and scanner. If the scsi card comes up with 2 options select the filename that you wrote down above.Hope this helps
