This will be for a IBM 486. The modem is small and it's only identification was Lucent on the chip. I'll let you know on here if it doesn't work otherwise THANKS

I removed audiocd from my registered files and now i have no sound and crystal audio player sucks. Emachines suck too there restorable disk removes the names of programs from your addremove programs directory under control panel. In other words try uninstalling windows media player when your computer says that its not on your computer. In other words windows sucks too and crystal audio cd player sucks too.

this driver works on the compaq 1200 series 1245 you have to install in a round about way but it works instaed of usibg quick restore to avoid all the garbage compaq sticks you with

Win98 disk has the drivers for this card but was lacking this ntkernal.vxd file. This looks like what I needed. If I don't post another message...it worked fine Thanks Julem

Downloaded and saved to winzip. Then opened file and restarted computer. It has been 1 day agobut everything seems stable. I upgraded as Asus P3BF Rev.1.03 motherboard.

Unzipped file from DriverGuide.com copied INF and SYS and other files only about 65K combined to a floppy diskette. Then used the floppy with Windows 98 Add Hardware Wizard you know the standard driver installation method for Win98. It worked just fine. I've only been using it for less than an hour so I don't really know how stable it is. But I don't expect any problems.Thanks DriverGuide.comSteve
