Thanks DaveI had a sound card with no other ID other than the crystall chip number and no noise. The driver works great.

this driver generates a fatal stack overflow that causes win 98 4.10.1998on a 366 k62 with 128mb dramto hang at the startup screen. the only way to stop it is to remove the driver files in dos. have tried both the Crystal install .exe and the standard windows driver installation routine.bleh.
