I got this driver at www.pbnec.nlsupportitemnrREFFIUP02170100.html which was a self extracting exe at this locationI used the following procedure with windows 98 and restored my sound succesfully to a fresh installation of windows 981. Download Sigmatel.exe2. Double click file to extract files to c esssolo1es1938s3. Remove any sound devices in control panel system device manager4. Click Add new hardware in control panel click next twice5. select no I want to select the hardware from a list click next6 select sound video and game controllers in list click next7. click have disk browse select c esssolo1es1938s8. select file name stac9700.inf click O.K twice9 select your sound card 82801AA in my case click ok. 10. Windows will alternate requests for files from the win98 CD and the Soft audio drivers11 choose D win98 where d is your cdrom and c esssolo1es1938s as required12 Restart PC and your sound should be workingThere are four options of sound card to install which are Intel 82440MX AC'97 Audio Controller Sigma tel CodecIntel 82801AA AC'97 Audio Controller Sigma tel CodecIntel 82801AB AC'97 Audio Controller Sigma tel CodecQSoundSigmaTel Stac97 PCI AudioMy choice was poor and the driver don't runned. My mistake. But the service offered is very good. Enjoy.

My PCI MOdem will not dial upI have drivers and the 'more info' diagnostics section in the modem section of control panel does comunicate with the piece of STBUT STILL NO RESPONSE FROM THE MODEM ON DIAL UP.If any one can help please email me as I have given the piece of ST 48hrs to live. Then it goes in the Blender...........................

not an Intel driver at all but a SigmaTel driver. do not download if you need the 82801AA AC'97 audio controller
