If anyone else has gone through the similar inept chaos I have regarding D.Research's Ultra ATA66 PCI controller card DRUDMA66 Box's upc 's will read 42649009344..3 take heart. See the install diskette that was included in the setup materials is absolutely corrupt. So I came here as D.Research has yet to even list this product yet still support it with tech info and drivers for situations alike mine. Thankfully I was aware of the Promise Technologies involvement with this card. I matched the version provided by Ed's PC parts ver. 1.42 and my corrupt install disk read Digital Reasearch Technologies IDE66 Installation Disk Copyright DRT1999DTide66002 is in small figures and across on the right side ahais version 1.42.This is a winner download for this product folks. I am now tonite running beautiful and helped out the BestBuy crew in Mishawauka Indiana with this news this afternoon. We are definetly not alone in this mess. BTW make sure you look closely at the jumper correct placement for WD larger drives. Their documentation and diagrams show completely different settings on the 2 sides of the install guide. This indiscrepancy also caused me grief till I found out the proper master vs slave setting for my 2 66 ATA drives. I could only run setup after I went into windows explorerViewOptions then select the View tab and make sure that Show all files is checked. It wouldn't work before reported setup.dll missing which is a hidden file.
