Warning this is not found on the SoundBlaster website as it originates from their overseas division Creative Technologies. It was difficult to find. This shows the value of this DriverGuide.com community of which I am proud to belong. It will work on cards using a chip ending in 1373.

I cant find the drivers for the alphascan 716 model KM712. I tried to download it from here but only get info not driver. I am using win95 can someone email me a driver that will work

I've found out that XP works very well with the 1600U. I've installed the 3.55 vistascan but this does not work. Doing a further installation under XP I've also checked the 2xxxupdater.exe from Umax. Noppes does not work.Ultimately I've found out that Intelscan.dll is needed. It is however not available on the XPCD. Ask a friend it is in a cab DRIVER5.CAB from windows ME.Now I can use mu 1600U as under 98SE...using Vistascan.SuccesAndre

dont bother with winXP possibly the worst pile of crap MS have ever produced. Just stick with Win2K not brilliant but at least you have a driver that works

Great I got a portable that I decided to install Win2000 on and the computer didn't come with Win2000 drivers. PCTel's own site and the notebook manufacturer's site also didn't have drivers. ThanksDavid WalkerDavidWalkerlordspence.com.nospamCould not get it to work with this driver.

file too big but if you have the utilities you can uncompress files into a folder and then just grab those you need. i needed the ethernet drivers and these were conveniently in one folder which i put in a diskette and voila.
