Tried everything have upgraded an HP Pavilion 8515 with the GVC 'Riptide' Combo card installed. XP got the sound card working OK but just listed the modem as 'Simple PCI Controller'. Anyway I tried XP's 'GVC HCF 56k' driverseemed close and although the modem diagnostics succesfully 'communicated' with the modem returning what appeared to be the correct data Query modem option in modems' properties dialogue the modem would not go offhook or dial even though the dialler said it was. Have installed a cheap 45 pci modem and now the system is working fine. Not really worth spending too much time on as a new modem is so cheap thesedays.

Anyone know which .exe file is suitable to setup BJC4000 in Window ME I've tried bjc4300.exe but it did not work.

I was having the same problem as Johnny Bals. It was on a Win98 PC. But I followed the directions in the Readme file after I extracted the .exe file. The system locked up on the Restart. I shut it down and started it in safe mode. Shut it down and started it normally. And it was fine no more unsupported items in device manager. Thanks Carolyn. Hope this helps out.
