I am using a USB optical mouse and the mouse freezes up on me. I don't know if it is the mouse drivers or the drivers for the USB. I just install it so I will use it for a time and evaluate it then.

Used on a Sony VAIO laptop which had been upgraded from Windows 2000 to XP. No complaints a straightforward install except I notice that my BTrieve database a bluescreen text mode dos app displays oddly it is pressed to 12 height at the top of the screen. Readable but peculiar.

VERY DISSAPOINTED....not only did the driver NOT install but it caused a file corruption in the system and the mouse LITERALLY DISSAPEARED....it wasnt on the screen anywhere and in device manager it sed there was a corrputed file code 8 reinstall windows to fix the problem....5 hours of microsoft tech support and ended up with the answer i dont know i have tried everything is there anything else microsoft can help u with today....to shorten this i ended up reinstalling over the current copy of windows 98SE and it still didnt pick it up so i reformatted and tehn finally had a mouse....NOT RECOMMENDED
