Can't seem to get it to work for a Dell Latitude D600 with a 7 digit service tag either... I input the tag from the screen and it returns invalid input.Any ideas

The executable provided on this webpage will install the necessary dirvers to get a usb port up and running on a Win95B machine. It may not howerever install the following 3 sys files to your computer hidclass.sys hidparse.sys hidusb.sys. You can go to the following website and download these members.aol.comhtmlsuehidusb.htm When windows is detecting your new hardware and wants to find one of these files you will now be able to point it to them rather then have them look for them in the precopy1.cab file. This driver didn't work with my system but perhaps it will with others. I'm using a H.P. Pavilion XE763 with Win98SE installed.

had no troubles. Always make sure you get the driver for the chipset your working with don't trust the board makers.

After many attempts with different recommended drivers finally got one to work with my Umax Astra 2000u and W2K. It's from UMAX UK support.Cirrus Logic.co.uktechnotesf122B.htm Also AFTER installing the vs355u.exe I copied over the pv8630.sys file in winntsystem32 with the above link's version and rebooted works good so far.
