downloaded the three zip drivers unzipped them and put them in auto exec bat win98 con fig utility rebooted and then went into system devices to change display settings but nothing happened still only have 16 colors. Also upgraded bios with 597v113.exe ....HelpDid not work

GREAT Thanks. This worksBEFORE installing the original software from HP I already connected the scanner. HP tells not to do so.Then followed your instructions. When you do not connect the scanner W2k finds a new device but can not find the drivers.

Dont use this driver for ICH4 USB It says its for ICH4 USB but It doesnt work on Us Robotics 845GL boards so people who are looking for the USB2 for 845GL please use other USB2 available on OOKZ. This driver doest do anything on my board. I guess it is desiged for some other boards

Folks here is some much needed help for the doityourselfers out there. I have have been buildingupgrading PC's for a long time so I worked this out logically.First when you turn your computer on what do you see Did you see Award AMIBIOS or something similar Well you can go to AMI at www.ami.com and under the Documentation heading click on Motherboard ID. When the next page appears click on Download AMIMBID. This is a zipped files which you will need to extract. I placed mine on a bootable floppy. If you want to download the unzipped executable you can find it at www2.OOKZ.comuploadsuploads92655.html. Follow the instructions I put on that page to ID the manufacturer of your motherboard. Once you have that information it is just a matter of searching the web for their site. In my case it turned out to be PC Chips www.pcchips.com. PC Chips has a cursor effect on their main web page that is worth looking at but the effect becomes rather annoying after a few seconds of playing with it.Lastly if you have to download from them here is fair warning. Some drivers download at a fairly good clip others totally suck. I've been trying to download a Win 9598 VGA driver for the M598LMR motherboard at a bitrate of 160 bytessec and the driver file is 12.2MB in size I have tried about four times to get this file and feel the frustration that I've heard voiced here and elsewhere about their site. But I guess I can't complain too much since they are providing it for free.Anyway once you find out the manufacturer of your motherboard you shouldn't have too many more problems finding the drivers you need.Good LuckCGOS

Worked like a charm. I had been told that if this situation came up that you would have to reinstall Windows in order to correct it. Not so thanks to Driver Guide.

you are a god i just formatted my harddrive and installed windows me i have been trying loads of drivers to get more than 16 colours and this is the only one that works my notebook is a 1200xl 115 and it works perfectly

I tried 3 times to get this driver from Us Robotics at an avereage rate of 200 bytes sec I timed out all three times. Here no problem.
