I tried this on a PS2 Emulator and it didn't have much effect. I think it's from the ROM's... But anyway I configured it a little and after that it reacted excellent. Again another musthave for a PS2emulomaniac.

three years ago I inherited an IBM Aptiva 2176C6Z 166mHz minitower with a beatup preloaded Win95 OS and the infamous MMWave DSP 33.6 combo card. Sound was awesome when not breaking up but the modem disconnected often. Formatted clean installed Win98 first edition. Downloaded the alleged drivers from IBM's site but could not get the MMWave to work for anything. IBM says they were sued over that particular combo card. Elected to scrap the MMWave and go with seperate sound and modem PCI cards. If you have the same trouble and plan to keep your system I suggest you do the same.My particular system hasUpgrade to 128mb ram40gig Western Digital 7200rpm driveSound Blaster PCI128 using original driversViking Components 56k internal LT chipset using driverset 5.92From the headphone jack on the stock speaker I run a line into a 360 watt Fisher Studio Standard amplifer sporting a pair of 10 Fisher and 12 Sansui rack system speakers. Not the latest in hardware or technology but nonetheless crystal clear and powerful sound.I set my modem's receive buffer to max adjusted Windows' MSTCP TTL and RWIN values to 576 128 5760 respectively. Throughput is between 5220 and 5790 characters per second with 5590 average on a 46666kbps connection. you may applaud now lol For what it is my system rocks.Note to IBM haters Don't forget that regardless of CPU speed your ATX box is nothing more than an IBM impersonator PERIOD. Who's your daddy SmackNote to internal WinModem haters Learn to config not hate. You spent 100 or more on that external modem and all you have to show for it are blinking lights and more wires on yet another component that you have to make room for on that already cluttered desk. My Viking cost 20 leaving a difference of around 80 which translates into alot of beer and pizza. With the Lucent Technologies chipset I enjoy the SAME or CLOSE TO the same throughput as you. Smack Smack Cable DSL and broadband people Go lay down somewhere this doesn't pertain to you. Stay out of it. Smack in advance. heheok done venting now thanks for reading
