It worked for me. I made a folder under the root called Sound. I then copied unzipped and extracted that file to that folder. I then went into Device Manager and selected Multimedia. I selected Reinstall Driver and selected Display a List. From there I pointed to the Sound folder and to the A1.INF file in particular. It then made me select which sound card I had. I think I selected ESS Sound Monitor WWF or something like that. Anyway it worked for me good luck.

it worked for my DLink DWLG510 but recently my Windows Update downloaded new driver exactly for my device.

My driver crashed and although I had the file Canon51s.sys I could not reinstall it. This driver allowed me to restore the file to windowssystem32drivers although I had to use the laptop to download it.Thank you very much for posting it as the Intel site wasn't much help.

I Downloaded this driver from the Benq site who took over Acer and it diffenatly is the wrong driver for XP. Has anybody got the correct driver
