yay this is the correct driver for the smbus on a hp pavillion 514n computer windows xp installed... has a trigem motherboard installed. had to reformat the computer needed this driver... thank goodness for OOKZ's tool kit

This is the Driver that the system WinME calls for in the Systems General Management Hardware section. Although I downloaded it and installed the driver the system would not accept it. It refuses to recognize this driver. I'll just keep on trying not even Intel has a proper listing for this unit. No surprise there.Thanks anyway for trying. RegardsAaron

This driver does indeed work for the cx1125211 chipset. I've uploaded my drivers for this chipset. THANK YOU Bruce B.Typically I don't write these but this one took a while to get working but it was the only one that worked.This is only for emachines... if you don't have an emachine then this in all likely hood WILL NOT WORK.Disclaimer This is just my experience I am not responsible to anything that happens to your computer data files OS girlfriend etc. because you try this.Read everything first before you try it.First extract the files to c a or something easy. Then delete all the old nonworking drivers press and hold the windows key next to ctrl then press pausebreak which is above page up which is above the arrows. Then click on the Device Manager tab. Look for PCI junk with a near it. I had to delete those you MUST have the windows cd or the cabs if you used a restore disk or else your SCREWED which probably doesnt matter since your looking here. DON'T RESTART. Then I had to go to add remove new hardware in the control panel because I didn't have a COM port 2 which was where the device was If you don't have an emachine do not follow the next COM steps. To check use windowspause and look under ports and see if COM port 2 is there. Then I had to select no the device isn't on the list because I still had a near some other stuff plug and pray doesn't work for my stuff . Then I had to select No I want to select the hardware from a list. Then I had to select ports. Then I had to select communication port. Then I had to select next. The computer shuts down because youre supposed to install the port but it's already there. Then you turn back on the computer after 15 sec. Then you wait for the computer to boot up it should detect your new hardware if not go to add new hardware. It will have one for PCI Multimedia Audio Device since the modem is also the sound card but this driver doesn't include that... so just click next and don't install anything. Then when you get to PCI Communications device or something similar click Search for the best driver. Then click specify a location and click browse and choose c a or wherever you extracted the files. Then click next. It will install. You might get two or three similar dialog boxes all with PCI . You should then be able to use it.Personally I installed the driver by removing rebooting and pointing to c a before I added the port but it would probably be better to do the above steps.

I was able to download the drivers but to my dismay I wasn't able to use them since it won't open. I guess my printer drivers are also messed up since I cannot use my printer anymore with its errors flashing everytime I print. I have HP Deskjet 840C printer.

This driver did help me alot. Right now I am in a ofice trying to fix a CPU and did not wrote down the name of the card from the properties so I had to open it and only had the name of the card from the back of it. So Wendy if I had you close to me I would Kiss You THANKYOU BYE...13052002

I couldnt install it.It requested the original floppy disk 1 and 2 it only runs under DOSI tried to simulate coping the files to floppy drive disks and labeling them but didnt suceed
