I am the uploader of this file. There is a chance this may be the original version of the file from IBMs FTP site and not the upgrade. It is in the quotupgradequot folder but another BIOS file that was with it in the same folder was the original version of that file so i cant vouch for this one as an quotupdatequot. It may be the one your machine came with. So while this file may not hurt u it wont help u if its the original unless your original got corrupted and its all u need. I have an upgraded version of it on a CD archive but i cant find this file at the moment. When i do i will compare the files and upload the newest one. This file rather than from my CD came from here ftpftp.pc.ibm.compubps1aptivaupdatefilesbios I had to upgrade a couple IBMs and rather than getting them from my archive i went to IBM instead for both BIOS files that i needed. The machine that needs odyflash wont be here for a while yet so i cant check that way. Sorry for any confusion. I didnt think id need to double check the content from IBMs own corporate website. Famous last words i guess LOL. Thankyou and again sorry for any confusion.Very well

Thanks. This driver worked for Presario 5000 desktop computer running Win 98se. When installing I skipped the cat files 3 times and it worked fine...you saved me the hazzle trying from Compaq they suck
