The reason why I downloaded this driver was because out of stupidity I erased the sound device from my computer when I reformatted it. I finally found this site and this is actually the second soundcard driver that I've tried. Thankfully this one finally worked and I am enjoying the sound again.

may work but doesn't missing file SETUP.DLLPS compact should be ashamed of it self withholding information you can get yr extended software help at compact for 40 bucks that sucks you paid for it in the package there too cheep to give you the discs.

Well it happens that the Conexant component was part of the Aopen FM56PM modem and I couldn't know it through the system but just opening the machine and reading what's on the devise itself.I don't disrecommend this driver either it just wasn't the right one for my case. Thank you
